Messianic World Update: Middle East Conflicts, Israel's Stand, and Biblical Prophecies

Shalom everyone! This is Monte Judah from Lion and Lamb Ministries. Today is Monday, the 26th of February, of the year 2024, and, as always, I'm here to bring you the most recent developments from the Middle East.

First, let's dive into the recently dismissed proposal by President Biden that aimed to unilaterally declare a Palestinian state before the 2nd of March. The Israeli government, along with its citizens, have categorically turned down this effort. The main reason is that any action that appears to incentivize acts of terrorism is deemed unacceptable. In contrast to this, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, of Israel, has unveiled the 'After Gaza Plan.' This comprehensive initiative seeks to demilitarize the Gaza Strip, reconstruct its infrastructure, provide necessary aid to its inhabitants, and stimulate the growth of organic Palestinian leadership. All of this is expected to be achieved with the invaluable assistance of the global community. As of now, this plan is under detailed review by the United States.

In past years, there have been numerous actions undermining Jewish settlements in the region. Most recently, the US officially declared all settlements in Judea and Samaria illegal, thereby reversing the Pompeo Doctrine that was put into effect during the Trump administration. In January, the U.S. government imposed sanctions on certain individuals among the settlers due to increasing reports of violence that the settlers initiated. While it's true that there have been a handful of incidents where Palestinians were subjected to harassment by Israeli settlers, the Israeli government has been vigilant in addressing these issues by arresting and detaining the involved citizens. However, it's noteworthy that when Palestinians launch attacks and cause fatalities among Jews, they are often portrayed as victims by many media outlets and the Palestinian lobby in the United States.

In the midst of such escalating tensions, Israel is bracing itself for an almost certain conflict with Hezbollah. The group continues to launch rockets and missiles towards Israel's northern border, causing damage to residential properties and inflicting injuries on civilians. In response, the Israeli Navy is also gearing up for the impending conflict. It's crucial to acknowledge the role of Iran in influencing these groups, thereby amplifying the urgent need for the United States to intervene and curb Iranian support to end this ongoing strife.

In related news, the Houthi rebels persist in their attacks on U.S. and allied shipping routes in the Red Sea, resulting in several commercial vessels being targeted. There is an escalating fear that this conflict may intensify to such an extent that a U.S. warship might fall prey to these attacks, the repercussions of which could be disastrous.

Switching gears to other global developments, Russia's recently unveiled space weapon, which was initially believed to be a conventional missile, is now reported to be a nuclear device. This revelation indicates a clear violation of the treaty signed in 1967. This new weapon is reportedly capable of taking out many satellites at once, thereby causing chaos due to all electronic capabilities being shut down. That means no communications, no GPS, no Internet connection, etc. Thankfully, Russia has not yet deployed this new weapon.

As believers, we need to pray fervently for Israel, for the hostages, and for America. That concludes our update for this week.

Shabbat Shalom to all of you.
